Very good app
Very good app
But, even when I go to settings and choose "dont show music in the cloud" (cloud... that I totally hate), the app stills shows me purchased music in the cloud. So, Im looking for an other app. A genuine no-fuss app.
This app is what Apple Music was before it was turned into a bloated, hit single-obsessed wreck. If you want something that basically functions like a CD player and plays albums, in order (as God, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd intended) without endless fussing over playlists, then this is the app for you. I use it on an iPad, so the interface isnt as pretty as some, but who cares. It works!
I like this app and it is good but I have over 8000 songs on my phone and when I pull down to reveal the search bar to search for an album, as soon as I start typing the whole app crashes and sends me back to the home screen. Also, when displaying the list of albums, playlists, etc it only shows the first few letters of the title. It would be nice if I could see the full names of my albums and playlists.
Love Ecoute in general, but I dont like the new large icon grid display. Please bring back the option to have 3-icon width grid. This new UI requires a lot more scrolling to find your music. I give 5 stars for Ecoute- which achieves music management in a simple efficient way, but only 2 stars for the refreshed grid display which is a step backwards.
I love the feel of this app, the same feel that apple has taken from us in iOS 10s Music app. Can easily see this app replacing the default app, as I only use local music anyway. Only thing I wish this app had was more sorting and secondary filter options. Something like sort by Album, then by Artist (instead of just alphabetical), similar to how itunes or the iOS 9 music app does it. Again great app and hope it stays great!
Apple gives us the ability to hide apps, and yet I hide the Apple music app and Ecoute no longer functions. How sad, I was all finally excited there would only be a need to install one music app on my iPhone. I want to rid my phone of these redundancies. Anyways, could this become a stand alone app and function without Apple music or is this still not possible?
Dont waste you money....not designed for an iPad.....
Amazing app, its become my default music player on iOS, but if its at all possible it needs to have the ability to sort albums by Year Released, something that Apple no longer feels is necessary in the default app. Putting in more sorting options would be incredibly handy!
I love Ecoute player, but this update is not good for me because Grid view shows too large jacket image. I think that Grid view should show 12 imases.
This App is very nice butI really miss 3x4 grid view, not cool with my iPhone 6Plus with 2x3. Actually I need 4x5 or more for option and also both-hand mode :)
I love this app. I want to sort function by release date.
For the amount of bugs it doesnt deserve more than 2 stars. And the dev doesnt respond, only fixed some stupid last.fm bugs when core funcionality like queueing is broken
Even with this last update, tracks are not scrobbled on Last.fm. Only the "now playing" works.
My review was 5 stars until the latest update. I give it one star for easy shuffle. They lose 4 stars for giant album art mimicking Apple. I hate it. You have to scroll forever to browse artists. Please bring back previous size or at least an option to change artwork size.
I bought this because the website said equalizer was supported but it turns out it just uses the same wack eq presets Apple Music uses. I expected a custom equalizer to turn my lower frequencies all the way down. I do however appreciate that this is the only third party music app to support itunes metadata.
Take the pretty good native app, strip away all the streaming/store clutter, streamline the UI and retain the ability to rate songs, profit. Thanks Apple for driving business to these guys!
Better than dumb Apple Music. Better than Cesium (sorry dude). It is simple, and only has the stuff you really need. Very intuitive, very user-friendly. Its worth the dollar.
The newest version of iTunes not only looks bad, but it hides standard controls like shuffle and repeat. I dont need to be swiping away screens while listening to music in my car! Ecoute to the rescue. Not only does it maintain the simple classy elegance of an older iTunes look, it performs flawlessly as an iTunes front end, tying in nicely with iTunes Match. If you made a desktop version, Id use that too. Great work folks.
Since the new iOS 10 Music app is patently awful for those of us who have no interest in subscribing to Apple Music, this is an excellent alternative. Well designed, simple, reliable—everything Apple used to stand for. It just works. Now if only there was an Ecoute app for Mac...
