I bought this specially for last.fm scrobbling. I am loving this app so far. My only concern is that track scrobble length should be 50% rather than full song.

It automatically gets lyrics to songs. Very cool app. I just want to say people are crazy here in the comments. One feature that you dont like and you give it 1 star. These people work hard to make a good app and and selfish people cant be a little more fair with rating. At least give legitimate COMPLAINTS(plural) if you gonna give 1 star. Jus sayin. Good job on the app. Basic. And that what a lot of people want.

This app took the lead from Apple and decided that users dont want to use the star rating to rate songs. There appears to be no way to rate songs with Ecoute, unfortunately. Its a waste of money.

This is a simple and clean alternative to the terrible iOS 10 music app.

Unlike what a previous review stated, you CAN give songs star ratings with this app. When the song is playing in full-screen mode (that is, you can see all the controls and the album art; sorry if Im not using the right terminology), tap the title of the song and the artist-title line will switch for a moment to the current star rating for the song. You can tap the star rating you want, then it will switch back to the artist-title line. When syncing with iTunes, the star rating will be recognized by iTunes and updated in your iTunes library (until Apple changes how iTunes works, I suppose). I just wanted to correct that other reviewer, because this app is such a good replacement for the horrible standard Music app.

After iOS10 made it music player even less user friendly, I started looking for an option that does what I want: play my music library and easily choose what songs I play in what order. This is well worth a buck to do that. Neat feature: Exclude from shuffle. Nice to be able to do this without deleting from a play list. Wish list: An iPad version (there are others with similar names, but they are not this app) and a way to view the queue and edit it.

This was a 5 star app until this update. Really, really hate the new size of the icons. I think the app overall is very good - Im just hoping this will get the attention of the creators and they can give us back the smaller icon option.

This looks great and works great. Especially with the latest update to the default music app in iOS 10 "fixing" things by focusing almost entirely on Apple Music streaming, it is wonderful to have an app focus on being a great player for the music youve sync and saved on your local music library.

I use the app to replace my music app. The app is perfect in so many aspect yet will be perfect if it can include a widget for fast rating songs from everywhere.

If so many people cant figure out how to give songs a star rating, they need to make it obvious or give a hint. Overall though a great app that doesnt replay songs when the shuffle mode is on (at least not that Ive noticed yet. The only thing I dont like about it is the little jiggle the cover art does when switching songs. This shouldnt annoy me so much but it just does for some reason.

Crashes on latest update for iPhone 6. Wont open. Just launches and immediately crashes to home screen.

This app has virtually replaced the iOS music app for me. It is very easy to use. Clean interface. In my opinion, there a few minor tweaks that would make this app the ultimate music app: To be able to add a now playing song to any existing playlist. To be able to access the album or artist directory directly from the now playing screen. It would be nice if the now playing artist/song information font would be a tad bit larger. To be able to access the search bar from any screen within the app. A larger album cover displayed would be nicer too. And that swipe the cover to switch songs feature is so annoying to me because i constantly swipe accidentally and change songs when I dont intend to. With those changes and I would be fully happy. Keep up the good work with this app! I love it!

Works SO well. Seriously. Real simple. Doesnt have tons of unnecessary features. Just music and playlists presented in a beautiful interface. This app is MUCH-MUCH better than the iOS default Music app. Highly recommend. Happy to see continuing updates! Thanks!

Please add an option to reduce the browse icons back to the previous size. The new size is difficult to use and slow when you are needing to scroll through many things. Before all my genre fit on one screen. Now I have to scroll around. This is frustrating. This was the reason I paid for this app in the first place. You have removed the functionally of why I bought this app in the first place.

The increased tile size in the latest version is very annoying and there is no option to change the size. I have over a hundred artists on my phone and eliminating the 3rd column has noticeably increased the amount of scrolling I have to do. Id steer clear of this app if youre weary of developers removing features for no apparent reason.

The app isnt actually a player but a alternate interface to the stock iOS music player. If you delete the stock app this app cannot play music. This is why people dont like to spend money on apps

Apple continues to make its music app worse and worse, but thankfully we have this alternative. Its got a nice, simple UI and works with the default music app EQ settings. Easily worth the price.

I really like the app once I found the settings and tweaked the interface. Like switching to full-time night mode and turning on "on selection mode". I wish there was a settings icon in the app to find settings easier. Also wish there was the option to turn filters on and off, like composers and computations for example, or have the auto hide if none were found. Also wish it had play options in the pull up home control area for quickly accessing during incoming call. Other than that, its a very nice and useful app to have.

If you are searching for a plain app to just play your music this is the app to use! Option to disable iCloud music and grouping options. Go to Settings app for all Ecoute settings. Great app for people who hate all the iCloud and Online Apple Music nonsense. WARNING: Do not delete stock Music app or this app wont work. Just hide that app in a junk app folder. Great app for the price! Thanks to the developer for this amazing music app!!!
